We discovered Julie Swinehart's work a few years back when we gave one of her blankets as a gift. The thank you card that we got back, from a third-time mom, said that it was the best blanket she had ever received, and that after three kids she had received quite a lot of blankets. So naturally, when we thought baby, we thought Rowley Baby.
Unless you count her middle school sewing class, Julie has been sewing for about eleven years. Her mother made quilts for her entire life, and her grandmother did the same. Sewing for her was just in the blood. Currently she lives in central Oregon, the high desert, and peruses the local quilt shop for modern fabrics with which to create her baby line. She sews in the evenings and on the weekends, and moonlights as a high school English teacher during the weekdays. Her free time she spends with her family, reads books, and travels.
Julie has created a exclusive line for Alere Modern and it is full of unique gear for babies and mamas (or papas). Her pieces are perfect for anyone looking for a special handmade baby gift.
